A Corfu Town holiday will be truly brimming with history. In addition to a 16th century fortress overlooking the town, there are several archeology museums and the opportunity to view the mummified remains of Corfu's patron saint in the church of St. Spiridon's.
However, if history isn't your bag, the town also boasts an excellent range of restaurants, bars, boutiques and coffee houses. Other attractions for those holidaying in the town include the glorious sandy beach and the Esplanade, Europe's largest square. With hotels that tend to come with luxury as standard, but nonetheless ranging widely in terms of star ratings and price, a holiday in Corfu Town is the perfect way to take in the historical side of Greece's culture.
