A Rhodes Town holiday is as likely to attract well-travelled history buffs as it is those just looking for a standard sunny Greek getaway. The Old Town of Rhodes is the oldest inhabited Medieval town in Europe, and as such has some absolutely thrilling landmarks and architecture awaiting the sampling of your gaze. Both the new and old towns have some great museums and art galleries, plus the National Theatre, which maintains a varied program of dance, drama, opera and cinema.
Those not up for adventuring through the town's historical or cultural side are of course more than welcome to pitch up and chill out at the beach, which many say still owes a lot to the 1970s in terms of architectural and cultural surroundings.
To summarize, a Rhodes holiday will satisfy anyone looking to be drenched in nostalgia or simply wanting a city break on the small scale.

The island enjoys a mild climate with adequate rainfall, which accounts for its profuse vegetation. In reality there are only two seasons: spring and summer. After November, when the first rains fall, the ground is carpeted with green and by February Rodos has become one vast flower garden. May sees the beginning of summer, when the earth gradually takes on a golden colour, until November, when the cycle starts again.
There is no rule or norm for tipping in Greece. People do not expect you to tip in anywhere else than in coffee houses, taverns, restaurants and maybe room service in the hotels. But still it is not compulsory. You can tip as much as you want or you can still no tip at all.
