Buggiba, Malta, is situated along the islands rocky northern coastline. Buggiba hotels prove popular in high tourist season as the resort is one of the most popular on the island: it offers a well equipped base with plenty of modern facilities for anyone visiting Malta. Buggiba was first established in the 1960s next to neighbouring St Pauls Bay but has grown to be a lively tourist destination with an excellent choice of restaurants, bars, apartments and hotels. Buggiba is also home to its own sizable shopping centre as well as the usual tourist shops and souvenir stalls. Perhaps the tourist attraction most likely to draw you from your Buggiba hotel room though is Mellieha Bay, which is the largest sandy beach on the island and is located just 8 kilometres away. In all, Buggiba, Malta, offers the adults and couples everything they could ask for from a holiday in the sun, though it does not match the family options of other resorts on the island.

The Maltese Islands are set in the heart of the Mediterranean with a climate that is heavily influenced by the surrounding seas. Malta's summer months are hot, dry and very sunny with temperatures peaking at around 31C in August. Malta and the nearby island of Gozo have very stable climates year round and begin to heat up in April with little rain during the summer season between April and August. Malta lies between Southern Italy and Africa so the climate is very similar, and is also comparable with Southern Greece. The high daytime temperatures are cooled down by sea breezes that also affect Italy and Greece but Malta is usually drier due to the short sea distance of the African coast.
