A Carvoeiro holiday can combine the best of both worlds, with its quiet beaches and low-key nightlife together with some great activities just a stone's throw away.

Two fantastic water parks, Slide & Splash and Aqualand, are just a few miles drive outside of the town, as are several golf courses and tennis courts. In the town itself, there is no shortage of places to eat and drink, although those looking for a livelier post-sunset scene may feel at a loss in this particular resort. Those travelling with their families or as a couple, however, will no doubt be welcoming of Carvoeiro's peaceful atmosphere and fine range of nearby beaches, spacious enough to accommodate all holiday goers even at their summery peak.

The temperature in Carvoeiro is stable all year round ranging for 29C during the high summer months to 17C during the winter. The climate in Carvoeiro is ideal for those who love sunshine but don’t like extremely high temperatures. Summers in Carvoeiro will be hot and dry and the winters will be warm and slightly humid. The coldest months of the year will be January and February if you can call 17C temperatures cold.

Tipping

Service charges are usually added to hotel and restaurant bills, otherwise it is customary to leave a 10% tip. Bar staff and taxi drivers also expect tips, which usually entails rounding up of the bill to the nearest Euro.
