Holiday WeatherThe glorious Ibiza sunshine is a draw for holidaymakers from around the world.  The summer season begins in May and the beaches begin to become popular as the weather heats up.  Beaches such as Cala Bassa, Cala Llonga and Es Casa benefit from beautiful clear skies and temperatures averaging around 23C.  The summer months can get extremely hot but there is always a cool breeze from the surrounding sea and you are never more than 10 kilometres away from the sea at any point on the island.  The warm waters and daily sunshine make an Ibiza holiday ideal for lovers of water activities such as snorkelling, diving and windsurfing.

The climate in Ibiza is basically warm all year round, which means that you do not have to wait until the summer season for a sunshine break, Easter holidays in Ibiza can be as warm as the summer season.  From November to April the average daytime temperature is between 15C and 25C.  Rainfall on Ibiza is usually only one day per month in the summer and no more than three days per month in winter.  An Ibiza winter holiday in May or October is a great time to visit as the island becomes very fresh and green.  Holidaymakers can benefit from tranquil strolls on the beaches with an average of 7 to 10 hours of sunshine per day.

Nightlife

Holiday ActivitiesThe safe, shallow waters of San Antonia bay are great forswimming but the best beaches are 20 minutes away by publictransport or ferry. Water sports and scuba diving can be organisedat the seafront and on land everything from golf and tennis to quadbiking, karting and horse riding can be arranged making Ibiza agreat destination for sports enthusiasts. The interior of theisland and much of the coastline is surprisingly unspoilt and canbe easily explored, and Ibiza’s historic Old Town is wellworth a visit for a bit of culture.

Restaurants

Holiday FoodSan Antonio has two areas: ‘The West End’, which ispacked with lots of small bars, fast food restaurants and pavementcafes, and the more upmarket ‘Sunset Strip’, in SanAntonio Bay, where the better restaurants are found. Somerestaurants offer good local Spanish fare and excellentlocally-caught seafood but the majority cater for more Britishtastes – Chinese, Indian and Italian food, hamburgers andchips and the staple full English breakfasts and Sunday roasts.
